Ionomers will be used to
- Strengthen rigidity and hardness while maintaining impact resistance in polyolefins
- Maintain adhesion even under contaminated conditions especially in fatty substrates
- Reduce thickness in multi-layer films or pipes
- Increase elongation resistance in polyolefin fibers
- Act as a nucleating agent in polyolefins
- Enhance creep resistance in pipes
- Reinforce strain hardening in polyolefins
- Improve compatibility between different polymers
- Increase oxidation resistance in polyolefins
