Ionomers will be used to

  • Strengthen rigidity and hardness while maintaining impact resistance in polyolefins
  • Maintain adhesion even under contaminated conditions especially in fatty substrates
  • Reduce thickness in multi-layer films or pipes
  • Increase elongation resistance in polyolefin fibers
  • Act as a nucleating agent in polyolefins
  • Enhance creep resistance in pipes
  • Reinforce strain hardening in polyolefins
  • Improve compatibility between different polymers
  • Increase oxidation resistance in polyolefins
