Today, more and more PP fibre applications products require flame retardant properties. Our products provide reliable FR properties in PP textile applications while maintaining excellent productivity during manufacturing.
Addcomp offers several masterbatches for use in PP fibres, CF, BCF, and non-woven applications:
- ADD-FR 167/2
- ADD-FR 214
- ADD-FR 243 (halogen free)
All masterbatches show excellent processing performance on both short- and long-spin lines.
Another advantage is that existing colour recipes can be maintained for the FR products as there is no
antimony present in our FR systems.
When the recommendations on the Product Datasheet are being applied, our flame retardant products will not develop a smell problem.
Flame retardant Polyolefin films
Today, there is an increasing demand for flame retardant properties in thin Polyolefin films. Until recently the flame retardant performance of existing products was relatively poor and in addition the use of Antimony resulted in a non-transparent white film.
Recently a new flame-retardant system for PE/PP films has been developed that provides excellent flame retardant properties as well as very good transparent / translucent film properties. As a consequence the impact on colour change in coloured films is limited.
