Blowing agents are mainly used to reduce weight, or to improve the mechanical properties of the final product. Typical applications are extruded sheets and foams in general, as well as injection moulded parts that require a foamed core.
Our blowing agent products do not contain a polymer carrier and for this reason our products find use in many commercially available polymer resins: Polyolefins, Styrenics, Polyamides, etc.
Foam densities of 0,5 - 0,6 g / cm3 have been achieved in Polyolefins using a processing temperature of 220 °C. Our blowing agents are already effective at low dosing rates: 0,5 - 1,0 wt%.
